Choose by visual weight
Eight-millimeter beads usually create a lighter, more detailed rhythm and leave room for more color changes. Ten-millimeter beads make each stone more prominent and create a bolder silhouette with fewer repeated units.
Allow for the inside curve
A bracelet is measured around the inside, not along a flat row. As bead diameter increases, the centerline of the bracelet sits farther from the wrist. That is why a design made with larger beads may need more finished length than a small-bead design for the same wrist.
Mix sizes deliberately
